MASSAGE

Benefits of Massage and Bodywork

Massage can help release chronic muscular tension and pain, improve circulation, increase joint flexibility, reduce mental and physical fatigue and stress, promote faster healing of injured muscle tissue, improve concentration, reduce anxiety and create overall sense of well-being.
Massage provides relief to people from all walks of life – the weekend or competitive athlete, the home gardener, and the overstressed executive; anyone can feel the need for massage at point in time. Please discuss with your therapist any specific health conditions you have in order to determine if massage is contraindicated.

Hot stone massage combines the benefits of Thermotherapy (the use of heat applications) with the strokes of massage using stones to create a deep, relaxing and healing treatment.  The heat of the stones warms the skin, which allows for the absorption of moisturizing and therapeutic oils, while also preparing the musculature of the body so the therapist can work into the deeper muscle layers.  Benefits include; increased local circulation, improved blood flow to surrounding tissues, and greater ability to transport toxins and waste products from the area.

60 minutes- $89
90 minutes- $119

Reflexology works on the feet and hands using massage and applied pressure techniques.  Reflexology works through the energy zones or zone therapy to access the entire body. Sensitive, trained hands can detect tiny deposits and imbalances in the feet, and by working on these points the therapist can release blockages and restore the free flow of energy to the whole body.  Tensions are eased and circulation is improved.
